The sky wasn't good during the shoot. Lots of high haze and clouds come and go. But still managed to get some single exposure shots at these two locations. IQ is definitely not as good as those shot at Sentosa due to the locations' proximity to major light sources which weaken the signals. Nevertheless, happy to say that these are shot in Singapore (again)!

Agreed with Dave. Personally I have not used other types of cam/brand for shooting the milky way. Should be able to capture using long exposure & stacking of subs. btw the summer Milky Way is will going "disappear' from Singapore night skies soon. Do try shooting it whenever possible within the next few days
The summer milky sets very early now but Maybe. If your up for the challenge. You could also try the Summer Triangle part of the Milky Way which is near zenith when the sun sets. I have not tried yet. But Looyaa manage to shoot before that before.
Give it a try! Really need to experiment with your cam setups to get the correct exposure and ISO setting so that per sub is not overexposed.
Do also remember that the stars will be drifting. So use the widest and fasters lens you got!
Decided to post something to claim the 100th post for this thread!!
Noticed that I was been posting mainly landscape shots recently. So I decided to do some stacking for widefield subs which have been sitting in my harddisk for quite some time.
Taken on 29 August 2013 at Sentosa. As usual, color tones went haywire after stacking. So rendering this photo in black-and-white just to show the collection of stellar light from Singapore night sky. Also, this is the first time ever I used iso 3200 to shoot the subs in Singapore.
Taken on 3 Sep 2013 at Marina Barrage. With endless cloudy nights recently and the Milky Way setting very early, probably it is a good time to end my summer Milky Way shots with a recent shot taken at Marina Barrage, the same place where I first shot the Milky Way from Singapore (accidentally)

Some hazy October shots of the summer Milky Way....
Taken at Siloso Beach, Sentosa. All single exposure. The night sky conditions were definitely not favourable with thin clouds making the photos look hazy. It is also hard to manage the cam settings to deal the light glow from oil refineries at Pulau Bukom & the resulting light reflection by clouds. But at least this location has more foreground things to shoot than Tanjong Beach. btw the cables in 2 of the photos are from the megazip flying fox adventure.
