Re: 12" LX200GPS for sale
Hi,
To answer several questions asked by PM, I will reply here to avoid multiple communications and be as open as possible.
The scope is in average condition:
- Tripod is strong and very solid but cosmetically not nice, it was unused and kept in storage for years (I use a pier at my place, not the tripod) so the legs and screws are rusty. It has a flat accessories table on it which makes it very easy for one person to mount the scope.
- Mount is in good condition with cosmetic scratches here and there.
- Optically the scope is good, collimation probably needs to be redone – It has the Bob knobs, easy to do.
- The hand racket Autostar has not been used except during the first few weeks. I connected the scope to the laptop directly and used The Sky for GOTO. By experince, the contacts of the racket tend to get bad and need to be recoated from time to time (they sell some product for that at Sim Lim), so expect that it will be the case.
- It comes with the original giant packing box
I am selling to make space: we are renovating our house and are moving to a smaller place for one year, cannot keep all my stuff …
If it does not sell, I will probably export it overseas for use during holidays.
I will also sell my Meade 10” OTA tube which I bought later to replace the 12” LX200 GPS. I used it on an Astro-Physics Mach1 mount until I purchased a Mewlon 250.
I will also sell a whole lot of accessories later on as I pack everything.

My website, where images taken with it can be seen ... The Jupiter link on the right has pictures and animations taken with it.

Thanks
