Auriga - Flaming Star Nebula

Post by cataclysm »

Hi folks,

Finally managed to get one of my elusive winter targets. This was taken on the same night as the central Orion region (1 Nov ) with the same light weight setup . The nebula nestles within the star rich milky way, with pretty low surface brightness, I find it quite a challenge to process the image without being overwhelmed by the stars. Lol.

Vixen GPD, Modified Canon 5D2, Mamiya 200mm Apo F2.8 operating at F4, 12x5min @ 1600ISO
