M42 Orion Nebula & NGC 2359 Thors Helmet

M42 Orion Nebula & NGC 2359 Thors Helmet

Sky was clear last night, managed 2 South objects at Bedok South with my recent TS-90 APO refractor 90mm, F6.6 FL @ 600mm, Celestron UHC Filter used & worked well, Thor's Helmet is much tougher than M42 & is the 2nd attempt. Both objects used Filter Moded Canon 500D DSLR, on Vixen GPD2 Mount, PHD guided 1.5 - 3 mins, total at approx 25 mins selected better shots for each of the objects.

Nice images Peter!
Have you tried OIII filter on the Thor's Helmet? It will work pretty well in our light polluted sky. :P

Thanks Kelvin, using 2" UHC filter, has not tried out the OIII yet, saw yours, super nice (even with just 1 sub exposure also sooo.. much details) ..
