Butterfly Nebula-BW and colour added
IC 1318 is a giant HII region. The entire nebula complex has three distinct visible components A,B, C. Sky was not really that clear. I have used DIY 80mm Scope and CCD.. sorry, no colour, OIII signal is very weak so didn't go with it.

Re: Butterfly Nebula
Nice! Looks like a smoking butterfly that caught fire.

Re: Butterfly Nebula
Kimo, wow, your photos getting nicer and nicer each day, hence it is correct that practice made perfect (but mine declined recently, not because practice more become blur but due to one piece of equipment came loose).
Re: Butterfly Nebula
Thanks to Gary and Peter. Actually, I don't use any expensive eqp to do astrophotography. it was taken with normal DIY 80mm Scope.
Re: Butterfly Nebula- colour added
Hi,
IC1318 bit tricky on colour version. previously, I couldn't get signal for OIII/SII. last night I really tried hard to get signal from OIII and SII and it was very weak. here I processed with HA, OIII, SII.
Sorry, I am not expert in Astrophotography. Thanks.
