CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!
Hi all .. only recently purchased my first scope the Nexstar 6se and have been hooked since spending many nights gazing mainly at the southern skies from my balcony along Bedok Reservoir. Although not equipped with the gears deem necessary for proper AP, still decided to take some pictures and along the way educate myself better with regards to basic AP. Had a shot at the Omega Cluster thro my scope and did some minor touch-up.
Nexstar 6se, Samsung NX1000 , Celestron Alt-Azimuth Mount, single shot (13sec @ 1600 ISO). Appreciate any guidance how to better improve my image .. thanks in advance.

It is how many people, less fortunate than you, got to look through it."

Thanks Gary and "Airconvent" for your kind encouragement! In the midst of upgrading my mount/scope/camera .. hope to take a few baby steps towards a proper AP image like the rest of the more experienced APers in the forum. Cheers!
Bought my ZEQ25 mount from Astrosiao and he was most kind to share with me some of his experience and knowledge with regards to basic AP past midnight yesterday. Still very basic results so far I know with my images but I am encouraged to want to learn more.
recent got sucked into the Narrowband "poison" after looking at the amazing works of our fellow forum members.
Managed to practice at the Carina region from my home balcony past month and came up with the 2 below images. Still far from decent but happy to see my gears being put to good use locally with the ever increasing light pollution ... rather than them being imprisoned in the dry cab most of the time. Cheers Rai
