Milky Way Panorama from Mersing
Milky Way Panorama from Mersing
Gosh! I am late at this but better late than never...my first Milky Way panorama attempt after spending so many years imaging from the Mersing site. This panorama was stitched from about 30 separate frames that was captured using the Vario Elmar T at widest setting (18) with the Leica T camera. I could have done all 360 degrees and will do at the next project opportunity (but who knows when it will be clear the whole night again!). Each frame exposure is 25sec at ISO1600. Had to significantly reduce the resolution per frame for faster processing. Another check off the list of things-to-do!

Wonderful image, Remus! Immortalizing the "new" obs site too. I presume this is a crop and the actual image is longer?
Hi Jeremy, have not heard from you in a while!
