Greetings to all from Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur.
I am new to this forum and would like to say hello.

I was in Mersing last night (Monday-Tuesday) and unfortunately completely clouded skies.
It was my first attempt to search for good skies in Malaysia.

However I will be back in Mersing after reading this post.

I am interested in meeting up with those of you who go Feb 13-15.
Where exactly is the venue?

You have got to come to terms with outdoor nature pursuits; beyond anyone's control. You can become a billionaire if you can control the cloud or invent the cloud filter.

6 from Klang valley attended. I think most are still recovering from lack of sleep and long distance driving.

It is one of the better sites within a 5 to 6 hour radius from KL .

Unfortunately, as noticed I was not able to make it. Would have loved to get to know some people from KL.
How was the Mersin event?

I went two times to "Pantai Remis" in the mean time. Pretty dark too there but nature did not play along ;-)
Any plans for the next couple of days?

Was there in Feb... Took my first pictures of milky way and startrails. Have done some post processing. Please feel free to comment so that I know what to improve on.

Due to the limited file size, the resolution of the startrails appears pixelated.
