Alright, this is for sharing of your observation experience. Or, if you are arranging gatherings, star-gazing expeditions or just want some company to go observing together, you can shout it out here.
Hi
Do remember to check out the total Lunar Eclipse which will result in a "blood moon" this saturday.
The angle of the eclipse results in refracted light from earth being propagated to the moon during full eclipse, causing a reddish colour..in other words, the moon will not "disappear" into the darkness during totality.
Eclipse duration 5-10pm with totality at 8pm.
All I see are clouds so far. Hopefully it clears up sufficiently for the moon to shine through.
Good luck to all the obs sessions around Singapore tonight!
