1. Vixen Space Eye 70mm Refractor with accessories (purchased Sep 2014)
- First scope purchased as a financially risk-free way to test mine and my son's interest in astronomy
- Very quickly moved on to a 6SE and other equipment
- Have used this less than 10 times; mostly at home and about thrice out field
- Full set that comes with Tripod, Slo-Mo mount, Diagonal, 2 Eyepieces (20mm, 4mm) --> Ready to go!
- Aperture @ 70mm, F/10 and really light!
It's a functional beginner scope, and has decent optics. It was an easy way for me to explore the hobby. Had even imaged the moon with it!
From what others tell me, it beats the "telescopes" that Toys R Us sells.
