Thank you for the links and the advice but however my 127eq has 6 screws and i do not know which are the three screws used to adjust the primary mirror.

I personally have not tried collimating so far as I mostly own Maks. if there were sessions held now, it would be a good time to bring it out so the Newts gurus can offer guidance but not under hazy conditions. For now i suggest you consider dropping by Astroscientific at the Science Centre and asking the owner Albert for tips on how to do it.

You may need to cut a quarter folded paper circle to lay on the mirror and center dot it with permanent marker after you remove the whole primary mirror assembly from the tube. This will also expose the 6 bottom screws to let you see which are 3 pull 3 push.

Had a shock when I saw the stock 20mm eyepiece only 40 degree afov on celestron website.
Was gonna recommend this $14 eyepiece since it works fine at focal ratio F/8 and above ... but it seems the seller don't want to sell anymore ... maybe next month will be back.

I think the Synta made newts these days come with a centered white ring stuck on the primary mirror ?

laser collimation is only good as a quick fix to let you continue visual observation. if you rotate the laser collimator, there is a high chance you can see the red dot circling a point on the primary mirror. you have to use a cheshire for the job.

the 6 screws behind the primary mirror. as hardwarezone said, they are for pulling and pushing. you have to loosen and tighten each corner to achieve balance.

And one last thing
The circumference of my primary mirror seems to be stained. I noticed this one week after purchase. Should I send it back to astro scientifics ?

Besides, when I view a star, it seems as if it is impossible to focus. What is the problem here?
