Lens is fully multi-coated and very clean, edge blackened to reduce stray light, no scratch
Focuser is a smooth single-speed crayford type, 2" and 1.25" eyepiece supported
Lens cap is screw on metal
Included tube clamp is adjustable to easily balance scope on the tripod
Minor issue:
Very slightly used, only minor scratch on built-in dew shield (sliding)
Note: This item is optical tube only. Eyepiece, diagonal and tripod not included.
I have tested this against my other achromat, the famous ST-80. Sharpness a little bit better than ST-80, is heavier and more solidly built (no plastic parts).
Reason for selling: I just got an 80mm APO (Barska magnus) and a 70mm ED (Lunt). I keep the ST-80 because it is light and portable, plus if I have to sell it, it will be very cheap. Also no point in having too many small refractor telescopes.
