Request for volunters for SF2004, Outdoor Observation.

Alright, this is for sharing of your observation experience. Or, if you are arranging gatherings, star-gazing expeditions or just want some company to go observing together, you can shout it out here.

Dear fellow astronomers,
fizzy123 wrote:So iz tat both 11 and 12 is overnite observation?

Due to a slight change of event, there will be [glow=red]NO[/glow]overnight observation on the 12 and 13 of Nov. Observation time will start at 8pm and end at 10pm sharp.

fizzy123 wrote:Wat briefing is it? Regarding wat issue?
Before the observation starts we need to confirm the attendance of the volunteers and their scopes. A hand out on the current objects to see in the sky will also be given to you so that it'll be easier to navigate the sky.
fizzy123 wrote:Out of curiosity, how is the respond?
Currently these are the following response:

Chrisyeo - ETX90 and ATM 6inch Dob
Arief - C8 on vixen SP mount
NPAC - 2x C8 (pending)
Me - C5 on Manfrotto 190 tripod and 410 head

I certainly hope this list will grow much longer in time to come. So please guys, bring out your big guns!

Is it possible to set up the Singastro 16.1" ATM scope at this event? I heard it's collecting dust now

Hi guys, great to see more people responding. Just a gentle reminder to leave your contact number and which night you'll be volunteering.

I think our Sun is being neglected......we only have one scope coming down for solar observation(with a H-Alpha filter!). So c'mon guys....a tan would also be nice.... 8)

Yeah, hope to see all the exotic stuff appearing in the festival !! Ultimately, astronomy is about sharing, isn't it! :D

And fret not about transportation, i believe there's a SADA (SingAstro Drivers Association) going on!!
