I have been to the Redhill MRT open plot in my first attempt to see ISS (but failed due to the clouds) and it is a nice place as it is very open. There is a carpark that is nearby and if I am not wrong the road name is Viking Rd.
err... Dempsey rd may not be as ideal as as b4. The flood light on the parade square is lit all night long. More restaurants and wine bars are operating at that area, its becoming a hip hang out place at night.
I remembered that the floodlight is located at one corner and it is still dark and shielded in between the two blocks. I am going there this Friday; will check and see.
Went there in Dec 06 with Ian, the space between the 2 blocks at the last row of building, quite dark except there is a small pub at one end. Most pubs are nearer to the main road. Sky facing Orchard direction, light pollution.
