Sidewalk Astronomy @ Tiong Bahru Park
Place: Tiong Bahru Park (opposite Tiong Bahru Plaza)
Date: Friday 29 May 2009
Time: 7.30pm to 10pm

1. acc, Portaball 12.5"
2. rlow, BT80M-A
3. catalcylsm, newt 8"

Some of our regular Singastro members have expressed interest to try out this new bino which is not so common here, so I have arranged to bring out this Vixen BT80M-A for its first public viewing tomorrow. We hope to try out different pairs of eyepieces in it (pls bring some pairs if you have) and maybe also compare it as a 28x80 bino with another 25x100 big bino.

Wow looks good. With so many astro activities tomorrow evening all around the island, hopefully we will get clear skies... see you all!

Oh boy! this looks like a pair of interesting bino. I will be bringing the binoviewer, so got a pair of 10mm vixen LV to try on.

For bino comparison, can always look at HDB flats.....keke

They may appear larger than what they really are through those giant binos! hahahaha

Hi,
Weather wasn't that good.. quite cloudy, so limited to the Moon observation. Scope present are:
1) Bushnell 60mm(??) refractor
2) Vixen BT80M-A binocular
3) 25x100 binocular
4) William Optics 110ED
5) 8" F4.5 Newtonian
6) Various small binoculars

Although not many people turn up in the end, but it's quite fun to finally meet up with some SingAstro members. We should have more such event regularly. Below are some photo of the events:

I would like to thank everyone who took the time and effort to set up their wonderfuls scopes and binos to enthrall newbies like me. It was great to put faces to nicks as well!
