i am using starblast 4.5".. i am having problem with in focusing.. and also having problem that on a orion eq2 mount with single axis motor drive.. cant even do 30seconds tracking and will have star trail..
i am using nikon d3100..

I just did my first visual collimation tonight! The secondary tilt was a bit off and the primary had to be adjusted also. Now everything is nicely centred - so is the finderscope!
Now if only the heavens would clear......
Anyway, Astro Bargains has suggested the following items for my consideration:
- Astronomik CLS Light Pollution Filter - Canon EOS Clip #CLS-EOS
- T ring - Canon EOS + Baader 2" / T-2 Nose Piece (with filter threads)
I'm probably gonna spring for the 2nd choice since I'm still testing the waters and it's the cheaper choice by half!
Just curious, what type of filters are we looking at if I'm gonna stick it on the Baader? I'm guessing it's not the typical camera-lens filters? Been hard to find any images of these type of filters. Since the Baader is 2", this means I need to find 48mm filters? A bit lost here....
