I would vote for a 4 inch APO or a 5 or 6 inch Maksutov-Newtonian under Singapore sky and my affordability.

Hi,

Now that China has come up with the 100mm apo and small to mid aperture MCTs, will they be coming out with other scopes soon e.g. Mak-Newts, SCTs etc?

My friend have tested a recently China made 80mm and 102mm birding scope with ED lens. The optics is said to be standard ED quality, the color correction of the 80mm one is second to Borg76ED, the 102mm one is a little inferior.
As for the Chinese MCTs, I am not very sure about anything new, but many agree that the "Bo Guan" (a company based in Guang Zhou) brand MCT is a good choice.
