Mars as big as moon on Aug27th?

I think they made a mistake when they did a summary on the original article and send out the wrong info to friends that started this hoax.

Some newspaper will do just that to make some hot news too.

200x75=15,000x magnification.
or you can use some images taken from space probes.

I think going into the specifics will just kill the community's interest in astronomy, or whatever was aroused in them by the hoax in the first place. What i propose we try to do, is a simplified version of explanation that debunks the hoax and at the same time interest people. I feel that the article is quite well done, in this respect.. This way, we make use of the hoax to turn the tides and bring more people into the exposure of astronomy!

ok. i know i sound dumb but..

YAYNESS! maybe we can get one of those ministers interested , and then.. this chain reaction thingy happens... and singapore become astronomer friendly?

...

i sound like im thinking way too far into the future..
