To all Outdoor Volunteers,

Some of you have asked where will the observation be held and where to gather their scopes before the observation starts:

1) The two nights of observation will be held at Foodcourt 3. Therefore we encourage volunteers to deposit their scopes from 8-10 Nov in the storeroom which is near the observation site. Solar observation will be held at the open platform four levels above the Concourse.

2) Those who are also displaying their scopes at the Concourse need to set up their scope at 8-10am on the second day before the event kicks off at 10.30am. They will need to start preparing to transport their scopes to the observing site at around 6.30pm. There will be other volunteers to help in the transportation.

3) Those who are not displaying their scopes at the Concourse on the second day will need to start preparing to transport their scopes from the storeroom to the observing site at around 6.30pm.

4) Volunteers who do not wish to deposit their scopes and prefer to bring them on the actual day themselves are required to be at the observation site by 7.30pm.

Sounds complicated isn't it? Feel free to call me at 98265276 or email at starfire82@hotmail.com or simply PM me asap if u got any burning questions. Thanks for reading patiently :wink:

Maybe those who have volunteered their scopes for both nights can consider leaving the scopes in the trustworthy hands of the on-site volunteers so that they can be showcased as display models in the day as well?

Hi guys, it's less than a week to Astrofest.
Here are some gentle reminders;

1) For those displaying their telescopes, please have your equipment ready by 9.30am on 13 Nov at the Concourse. Event will kick off at 10.30am sharp.

2) Those volunteering for outdoor observation, please be present with your equipment by 7.30pm on the 12 and 13 Nov at Foodcourt 3 soccer field. Observation will kick off at 8pm sharp.

3) Volunteers for solar observation please be present with your equipment and solar filter by 11.30am on 13 Nov at the Concourse. Observation will kick off at 12pm sharp at the 4th storey above the Concourse.

4) In case of bad weather during the observation, Outdoor scope volunteers can take turns to give a short introduction about their telescope and their experiences in astronomy. The public will be free to ask any questions on astronomy and anyone knowledgeable enough can provide the answer.

Thanks! Looking forward to seeing you soon!

wat's the difference between these?

Yeoh Wee Heng - Sky-Watcher 150 F5 Newtonian + GP mount with Dual Axis motor and DD1 controller (Both nights + solar + display)

Weixing - SkyWatcher 150 F/5 Newtonian, Vixen GP with DD1 controller (both nights + solar)

also, my scope is spelled wrongly, should be AT1010.
