anyone knows if the road has been repaired?
it has been 1 week already.
i may drive down later in the evening depending on my current schedule but if the road is not repaired, I won't be able to go as I only know that way...

Wow, another excellent trip....very glad I was there. Sleepy but happy.
Attached two pics. One is milky way shot centred on Sagittarius by my son.
The other pic of Orion's belt. Used a Canon 350D with 200mm telephoto lens on a CG5 mount !! Haha :-D Can of course see M42, but can also make out bits of emission nebula NGC 2024 (Horsehead nebula) around Alnitak (bottom star of Orion's belt), and NGC 1977 (running man nebula) around the left "star" in the "sword" of Orion.
Both pics postprocessed with Photoshop.
Will wait for Mooey to publish the official report :-P

nice effort joo beng.
and if you all look carefully, you will notice traces of me cluelessly walking across the milky way, much to the distress to joo beng's son! fortunately, for long exposures, my transit was too brief and was not luminous enough to make an impact..heh heh
