Mersing Observation Trip on 01-02 Oct 2005

Hi,
We plan to go Mersing for an one night observation trip on 01 Oct 2005 to 02 Oct 2005 (New Moon Period).

We plan to charter a mini-bus and depart from S'pore at about 1.30pm on 01 Oct 2005 (saturday) and return the following morning (sunday). Costs will be shared among the participants. Those who are interested to join us please register by posting here early on a first come first serve basis.

Where do you guys meet to take the chartered mini-bus? About what time on the Sunday will you guys arrive Singapore?

I arrive home at around 3pm the last trip.

By the way, currently all seats are taken up.

Is there enough for another minibus?

Or if someone is driving up maybe can 'tompang' the others that want to go up?

Hi guys, I don't mind driving up. I can fit two people in the car since the car I drive is rather small and also because of the equipment. However, I need a navigator as I don't know how to go to the observation site.

A week later will be quarter moon and the moon will set quite late, so not very suitable. We usually plan to go Mersing in a new moon period, so that we can enjoy the dark sky there... the moon is a source of light pollution in DSO observing... hee hee hee =P
