M42 and Jupiter

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

M42 and Jupiter

Post by joachim.ong »

Hi.... 2nd time posting on Singastro for me :D
So a couple of nights back I was out and collected two of my best images so far, one of Jupiter and one of the Orion nebula... Here they are, give me your thoughts...

Image

Image

Jupiter was shot through using the NexImage and orion nebula was using an unmodified D5000 and LPR (42x20s)
Both through a C8 and CG-5 mount

By the way, know of anyone else on singastro around my age? That would be fun :)

Hi,
Nice photos! My previous telescope (4.5") will not show to such extent... [smilie=admire.gif]

Nice image of Jupiter!
For Orion, try to bring the levels down so it does not look over-exposed. The contrast will look better too. [smilie=cute.gif]
