nice~ i just got a question...

how come FSQ gave the spike star? + i thought only scope with vanes gives that effect.....

in my experience, even refractors will have diffraction spikes due to... the spacers!

unless it's an oil-spaced apo which has the elements touching (no spacers).

normally these spikes are not visible but on a really long exposure (like, 10 minute single sub) you will definitely see them around the brightest stars.

Orly is right, the spikes are from the spacers. :P
