Dear all!
There will be a public astronomy event (organized by the National Library Board) on 2 June 2012 (Saturday), that will be FREE for public access, and open to everyone in SINGASTRO (bring your instruments!). This event is held in conjunction with their Astronomy and the Arts programme throughout the months of May and June this year. For 2 June, there will be a talk on Urban Astronomy in the late afternoon (time to be confirmed), that is held at the Programme Zone at Jurong Regional Library (near the Singapore Science Center), followed by a stargazing session for the public.
NLB would welcome some telescope volunteers for this event (though in limited quantities), but those who volunteer will be re-imbursed with transportation fees.
Do let me know if you are keen to volunteer, thanks!
Cheers!

Hi Remus
Have not heard from you in a while. So the venue is the field next to Jurong Regional Library?

Hey guys!
Update on the event: It is tomorrow!!!! Clear skies fingers crossed! Even if it is cloudy, or rainy, the library have installed some back-up programme for the public. Talks at the Programme Zone at the Jurong Library is open to everyone to attend. Somehow everyone is asking if it is free, or open to public.....YES IT IS TO BOTH! Better to be early if you are keen to attend. The Night Gaze event would be held at the field next to the library. Feel free to bring your bazookas, and optical menaces for the public to look through and marvel at! :-)
