The CG4 Dave is selling here is from Celestron Omni XLT 102. I had the honour and pleasure to have a hands-on session with this set last night (Thanks Dave). So I just want to comment on the condition of this CG4 --- it is super-duper mint!

Since the condition is so mint (at least to my eyes), if Dave doesn't have the time to upload actual photos of his CG4, potential buyers can take a look at this image from Celestron.com which is exactly how this CG4 looked like to me last night.

During actual use over a few hours which involves locking/unlocking the clutches, pushing it around, using the slow motion cables, I did not detect any mount problems and everything felt smooth to me.

This white finishing and design will look great especially with a white OTA.

@Dave -- Perhaps you can let us know which month and year you bought it and how many times you have used it since.

Note: I do not receive any monetary benefit directly or indirect from the potential sale of this product. Just giving feedback on this CG4 for the potential benefit of the potential buyer who may be wondering if it is worth reserving it (assuming the price is right to him/her) and to a make trip to buyer's place to see the condition and judge for themselves with the intention of buying it if the condition is proven to be really mint.

Thanks gary for putting a word on the cg4.
Like gary says its only been use for hours.
Was bought on the 4th apr 2012.
In fact, it day which gary played with the mount and my omni xlt 102.
Selling it cause i have a good az mount which i have just bought.
And i dont need the tracking yet.
It retails at about 850 ex gst.
Ups for a really good mount.

Hi,

Does it have motors for tracking? Or is the tracking done manually by hand?

Nope. No motors. Tracking by slow mo cables.
