Andromeda Observatory 1st Session

Post by Sam Lee »

A first internal session at the new Galaxy CC (used to be Admiral Garden CC). As per title the dome is named Andromeda

Start of session met with some hiccups with key locations. managed to get the session going after some delay.

Discussing which eyepieces to use. Too many to choose from!

Our next observatory session is this Sunday in conjunction with CC activities celebrating Earth day, followed by next Friday which is our regular friday sessions.

Interesting Sam and holy cow, have not actually met you in years and you seem to have changed abit too! and without your specs too. haha
I had not idea we had a CC named Galaxy? Thought they were all named after their location? But indeed a nice scope. Hopefully its in a place with lesser bright lights and of courses, lesser "terran nebula" too! :)

yes Richard! havent seen you in years. You gotta come visit us when we have our public session.

Not only is it called Galaxy CC, all the function rooms in it have astronomy related names. We have Hyperion room, Corpernicus room, Jupiter Hall..

The observatory is set on the 6th floor rooftop. The rooftop has a nice open area where we can do our normal stargazing. In the East we get a huge open field. Most impt its near to residential area and also the MRT, makes it easier for everyone to come.
