Night Shoot not equal to Night Sky Shoot, then for AP DSLR, Nikon D800E is the way to go for now. Some more super high res, 36MP.

While the 800E does have outstanding resolution and sensitivity, do remember it is still relatively insensitive to H Alpha so its less useful for nebulae.
Having said that, my unmodified D700 is still a very good AP camera, so the D800 should only be better.
In terms of H Alpha though, its going to be beaten by an old, modified Canon D450

Maybe Nikon does not eat stars anymore or maybe less stars.
