Another amatuer astrophotography website.

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

Another amatuer astrophotography website.

Post by MCYM »

Hello to all

With the free web space provided by ISP i decided to turn it into a temporary astronomy related website.
http://pachome1.pacific.net.sg/~audioworks/

Pardon the simplicity of the web as this is my first attempt at html.
The objective of this site is to track the images of messier objects captured and to share a trick or two.

Comments are welcome

Hi Matthew,
Glad to see you have finally broken surface and entered orbit!
Great site! If you pics are mediocre, then I better remove all my images from the album section...
I see you managed to captured the famous Mersing coconut tree in which a coconut fell once and nearly hit Wira, CC and me!

I liked your comet shots and the ring nebula...nice.

Here is some suggestions:

1. Do indicate also how the images were processed...eg raw, stacked, photoshop, registrax...how many images, etc.
2. For the best of the crop, perhaps a short narrative on how you captured that elusive shot, etc.

cheers

hey. a very comprehensive site for astrophotography. hope to see you update the astrophotography techniques asap. =p. myriad of images available at the gallery are simply stunning. well done !

It would be good to include processing steps and different types of astrophotography (eg. prime focus, ++)

2 cents,
wenyi

I notice that your M45 is difference from others.
It's more like a wedding photo to me.
Please share with us your experience on how to get whose "wedding" photo effect.

Hi Matthew,

Congrats.

Great site. It is a valuable contribution to all Am.astronomers and to Singapore Astonomers in purticular
You seem to have thought of everything and spent all those cloudy Singapore nights in the most useful manner to create a professional site.
