Hi,
I wonder did anyone notice that these few days the sky was very clear after 2am.

Yesterday, the sky in Tampines was crystal clear and dark after 2am... only some cloud that come and go. Can't see any haze... the stars were very bright, the moon was also very clear... can see the feature on the moon clearly.

Hope that it will last till the weekend.

Have a nice day.

Hi,
I think the clear sky on these few nights was cause by the rain in the late afternoon... wash down all the haze. But a liitle too humid... so dew may be a problem.

By the way, although the transparency is great, the seeing is quite bad (twinkle twinkle little star), so may only limit to low power view.

Anyway, these few days very tired, so never do any observation... will stand by my scope tomorrow.

Have a nice day.

Yup. Tonight is a good night again. Put in about half and hour trying out a new broadband filter on lagoon and omega nebulas. Quite pleased with the results.

hi chris
If the sky holds out, intend to pop out afterwards at 12.30 am (having a quick bite now!) to have a desperate look with my refractor (been months since I used it!!!!). The broadband is useful for removing some of the sky glow but at the expense of some light but to view emmision nebulas, best to use a narrow band filter instead.
