CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!
Hi
While I am waiting for narrow band targets to come round again I occasionally like to try a bit of RGB when the moon is not there and the weather plays ball. This is of M63 which was taken over three nights and comprises of 24x10 minutes of Luminance and 15x10 minutes each of RGB. This is a crop of the full size image which can be seen at the following link http://www.pbase.com/imaging_the_heaven ... 0/original
It was taken with the FSQ106ED and ML8300 on a Paramount ME
Thanks for looking
Best wishes
Gordon

It is how many people, less fortunate than you, got to look through it."

Nice details Gordon. I think they should call it the "Flattened Sunflower Galaxy" instead. You caught another "squatter" galaxy in the lower centre too.
