Just watched this at Shaw Lido IMAX 3D. Absolutely amazing!
Will be good if nobody reveal spoilers. Other than the official trailer to convince you how good the visuals are, don't go and read up too much about this movie. It will spoil the fun for you. Yes, IMAX 3D ticket is expensive. But if you really like movies about Space, it's well worth the ticket!
Get a good central seat to max out the value of your ticket. Don't bother with seats that are off centre (say 1/3 distance away).
Certain type of movies when rendered in 3D may make you feel giddy (e.g. the hobbit movie trailer shown just before the movie). Gravity did not. At least to my vision system.
Since I watched the midnight 11:50pm last night, no small children screaming or yelling. You may want to deliberate choose this kind of super late or off-peak timings to increase your chances of enjoying this movie in peace. Not sure if I am lucky but last night's full house movie audience was one of the most best I have ever encountered - no talking, fidgeting with handphones, running "commentary", crunching chips loudly and not even a single cough heard throughout whole the show!
So unless you have a TV screen at home as big as IMAX, you can never re-live this experience even when the blu-ray version is out!
Wishing you guys good luck and have a wonderful time watching it. This is a movie space fans will be talking about for a long time!

I watched it at IMAX as well. Fantastic show. The 3D is extremely immersive.Gary wrote:Just watched this at Shaw Lido IMAX 3D. Absolutely amazing!

Don't save the coin by going to the normal 2D format. This is the show that everybody must absolutely watch it at IMAX.

Absolutely stunning effects! I LOVED this movie!!
Now imagine if they'd cast Jodie Foster instead of Sandra Bullock ... I'd have gone mad in ecstasy
