WTB: 150 mm Newtonian 1000 mm f7 telescope?
I need a shot of a full moon, preferably covering half of the frame.

I think I need a T-adapter and T-Ring but is a motordrive for the telescope necessary for long exposures of the moon. But what combinations

I need to mount Minolta 800si on it.
cheers

Hi,
I think you'll only need a T-Ring Adapter for your Minolta camera, which should be able to found in normal camera shop or you can get it from Astro Scientific Centre, and a T-Adapter for your scope if it doesn't have a T-Adapter on the focuser.

You may not need a motor drive since the exposure for shooting the moon should be very short... may be less than 1/60 second depend on your film ISO. Anyway, I'm not familiar with prime focus astrophotography, so cannot answer your questions. You should post all your questions in the Astrophotography section, so that those member that have experience in prime focus will see your questions and can answer your question.

Have a nice day.
