Milky Way look alike - NGC 6744

Post by PETER LOO »

NGC 6744 is in the Constellation Pavo, refer to those taken through large telescope eg. Wikipedia as mine can only show the core, nil spiral arm possible despite the average surface brightness is 14.5, it is believed that our Galaxy, called the Milky way would look like that to Alien staying at different Galaxy, hence, it is sometime referred as the Cousin of Milky Way

Shot taken on 20 Jul 2014: Bedok South Field, while setting up, met Curious Orion7 setting up her Cam for the actual Milky Way :D

Shooting Data:

Mount: Vixen GPD2 Mount with StarBook-S, RA Guided with 5Omm & Orion SSAG, Polar Align using PHD method recommended by Mymoon [smilie=blocked.gif]
Cam: Canon 500D, IR filter replaced, Nil external filter used
ISO 1600 2 mins X 7 (usable frame only 7 - due to object lie very low, most of the other shots gone case ..)
Scope: TSAPO906C
