HI Mike,
Which part do you observe from?
I live in ave 9 and normally get by on the top floor of the multistorey car park...that was before they changed all the corridor lights to super duper bright ones...sigh....

I am living at blk 601 beside the swimming pool. How about your side? is the place less light poluted? which telescope you are using?

Oh I see...my place is generally quite bright too but there is a field at the intersection of Yio Chu Kang Road and Ang Mo Kio Ave 3 which appears to have potential although I am not sure if the grass is thick. I personally prefer to observe on concrete floor which is why I prefer Dempsey Road camp. John Teh and David Lian found a place in Tuas Drive Ave 5 which is so dark by Singapore standards that it is possible to see the milky way there on a clearer night! I have not been there before, so not sure how good.
