Hi folks:

FYI... this year Nov Leonids prediction - no more storm level activities. like in past years but still ...

- 1733 stream - S'pore time Nov 20th 5:49am...

Interesting 1001 prediction on Nov 9 7:30am but day light for us

Leonids this year expected to be spectacular?
Haven't really sit down and observe a meteor shower before... hope to catch a really good one. :D

yeah..me too...have yet to see one! every "spectacular storm" in Singapore has been matched by spectacular 100% cloud cover"..sigh...

I think the problem of Singapore is not only the clouds. The electromagnetic field lines at the equator is the weakest thus storm not spetacular. :wink: :idea:

Hi :

A storm level occurs when earth plough through the densiest part of the cometary debris in space. The spot on earth that get this hit frontal surface hit in time will decide the geographical site to view the storm level. Weather play a part as clouded out sky means you do not get to see.
I am afraid this got nothing to do with magnetic field which is more applicable to charge particles like solar particle => polar lights.
