Hi folks,
Does anyone here make their own digital setting circles? Anyone here know how to make it? :wink: :lol:

Please refer to this Dave Ek's website:
http://home.earthlink.net/~david.ek/digicircles/ You need to have:
1) Two encoders for two axes (about US$50 each)
2) Circuit board, PIC, etc.. (about US$50)
3) Palm PDA running PalmDSC http://palmdsc.dougbraun.com/ (you can find a used one for about US$50 in ebay) PDA is needed if you want portability.
That is all. If you don't want to make the circuit (2) by yourself, the second cheapest choice is "Micro-Guider 5" http://www.nova-astro.com/mg5.html It costs US$110.

seems to me that it's cheaper buying one off the shelf than DIYing
