PORA@INT IAGM 2004/05 Public Invitation

Dear SINGASTRO members,

I believe all of you here are interested in astronomy. For the first time in history, PORA@INT is having its very first IAGM. And again, for the very first time, we are welcoming members of the public to observe in this conference. We are only allowing 5 person to join us. This conference will be 1 week long and will be held in Singapore. Dates and venues will be confirmed at a later time. The events which you have access to are as follows (Public):

Conferences:-
- Future of Astronomy
- Advancements in Astronomical Technologies
- Space Travel and Colonisation
- Extraterrestrial Detection and Communication
- Use of Active Detection Technologies in Astronomy

Activities:-
- PORA Technologies Display (Astronomy)
- Live Demonstration of SkyGuardian
- Photo Gallery
- 3D documentary
- Equipment try-out


There may be more events being added to this list.

There are no fees required for this conference. Hotel room will be provided on case-by-case basis. Rest assure that there will be VIPs and VVIPs appearing in this conference. Invitation will be given on a random basis. Volunteers from SAF2004 and members from PORA-affiliated organisations will be given a higher priority. Equipment that can emit signals, telecommunication equipment and recording equipment are strictly prohibited. Cellphone frequencies will be jammed in all the venues. PORA@SG reserves the right to restrict access to any/ all events/ venues for PORA@INT IAGM 2004/05 (December).

Rico, sorry for asking, but what are pora clubs?

You mention it's a club dealing with Astro stuff? The we would really like to know because as far as I know, the only clubs are the school clubs and TASOS.

Shy or not shy, its traditional that when you extend an invitation, to provide a short brief on what PORA is, what it does and what it hopes to achieve from this seminar. That way, people can then ascertain if its suitable for them.

haha, ok. pora is a club filled with pple with drive, determination and insanity to do breakthrough researches. we deal with all kinds of science, mainly: physics, chemistry and biology. our aim is to link up expertises from all over the country, all over the world to conduct researches at extremely low cost. this conference aims to generate ideas for research for 2005, consolidate all our results and to have fun! that's the rough idea for this conference. since all the 5 lucky dudes would be observing the conference, they would be able to get close to current astronomical advances and have a rare chance to provide inputs.
