This is just another boring comet which will be somewhere to the right side of Lepus, currently Mag 6.24, should be brighter in a few more weeks time.

gd stuff from sam. i think it will be quite spectacular on 8th jan, since it's going to be just beside m45 at ard mag 4.1. best of all, it's a weekend. so who's gonan catch it?

Hihi, anybody know if we can view the jupiter-moon occultation anrd 6-7 Dec from here?
No.. :( We can't see it. It is around 5pm in singapore... sun haven't set and the moon already set.... :(

sigh...I was suddently activated to work through the night without sleep to prep for a meeting. so had not time to come in here yesterday. when I left the office around 6am, I noticed that jupiter is very high in the sky and SOOOOO bright. Venus below her was also visible in the horizon amongst the clouds.
Mars was supposed to slightly to her right bit I could not make it out...
hope can see the comet in Jan thought....

ok, just back from my session, took down machholz. easy target for a 3", nueclus could be seen brightly, someone told me he saw a greenish thingy, did not see any of the tail.
