Hi All:

34 persons had view this topic and not even one offer? Is this a very rare item in the market? May be this a very good and expensive gear head and no one wanted to sell, and I have to buy a new one instead.

Thanks for viewing this topic.

Robin

Hi Robin,
The 405 head is not very common here....most own the 410 instead.
Even if 1-2 owns this head, they may not want to sell it now...have to be patient lah...

Manfrotto Head

Hi Airconvent,

Thanks for your advise, even 410 head is out of stock for a long time
(because it is cheap & good - a junior of 405) and agent can't even tell me when is the stock will be arrived.

At the meantime they have 1 no. of 405 head, and I have left with no other choice, because by paying for a 405 head & tripod, I can pay for a second hand APO. :?

The 405 is actually a heavier duty head compared with the 410 (7.5Kg vs 5 kg) but I wonder if the controls on the 405 is any better than the 410. the 410 controls tend to be very tight...too tight for easy fine adjustments...
BTW, I have yet to see a 405 in singastro so far...so maybe its simply not there :D

Hi Airconvent,

I have ordered the 405 head and will collect it by Sat, may be I will
invite you to feel the turn of the controls as soon as I get hold of it,
they told me the 405 is a much better head than the 410.

Good Day

Robin

yep, the 405 is very very expensive. but it takes quite a bit of load. what scope are you planning to use with the head?

personally i feel that a giro-dx is better value, since the giro-dx can take crazy amount of load, it just need a gd tripod and proper balancing.

Hi Airconvent,

The head cost around $550, and the Manfrotto Tripod 058 will cost around $400, all in I have to pay about $950, but I am going for it as it will be a good investment, and I will use it for demo of my other products. Since the 405 is rare, it will be a collector's item.

You are welcome to test the 405, just p.m. me to arrange for apt. I am also bringing in 2 pcs of 100mm of my own brand ; "Astro-Bino" for demo and sales, the products are scheduled to arrive early April, all are welcome to try them.

Good Day,

Robin
