Probable Mersing Trip on 14 May 2005 (Cancelled)

Post by weixing »

Hi,
Intend to go Mersing for an observation trip on 14 May 2005 (saturday). It'll be an one night observation session and will be back on 15 May 2005 (sunday).

Since we do not have enough transportation to transport many people, I hope that those who drive can join us, so that we can "piggyback" some of those who do not drive.

Anyone interested??

Have a nice day.

I am certainly interested, though it's tough for me to fix dates as there is work and family commitments. I have an MPV, so if I go, can certainly take up to 3 more people AND some of their equipment !

Weixing, you'll get a quarter moon for half of your observing session. Why not joining Remus a week earlier? no moon for both nights. I'll be joining him as well. Will bring my 10 incher.

It's OK since our target is the summer sky and the quarter moon will set after mid night when the summer milky way at zenith.

The reason not to go on the new moon (7 May 2005) is that the next day(8 May 2005) is mother's day... :)

Have a nice day.

I don't think it is a good idea as we'll be staying and feeding mosquito in the field.

Have a nice day.

Hi,
No problem... hope that all can confirm by 1 May 2005, so that I can estimate how many non-driver we can take along... :D

Have a nice day.
