Hello all :)!

For all Venus fans out there, Venus has finally been seen in Singapore after a half year wait! It will climb higher and higher into the evening sky over the next few months.

I saw it just now at 7.30 pm as I was returning from class. It hung real low in the west, but there was no time to set up a telescope to see its phases. It was gone in 5 minutes. Attached is a picture I took of Venus, exposure time 0.5 seconds on ISO 800 at 3 X magnification on a Nikon Coolpix 4500.

Here are some more details about Venus:

June 25th- Planetary conjunction of Venus, Mercury and Saturn, all 1.5 degrees of each other

June 27th- Planetary conjunction of Venus and Mercury (here's the interesting part) LESS than 0.2 degrees apart! :)

Here's your chance to catch Mercury if you have not seen it. I will be looking for it too :)
