are you intending to mount the finder or the sct?

The dovetail (lower picture) is needed to screw onto the OTA.With the finder mounting bracket (finder scope) which has a similar mounting at bottom will slide into it.

Hey...david, i want one too. make sure to get the sct-base type and not the finderscope type.
