Anti-vibration pads

Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

Anti-vibration pads

Post by wAi_kiT »

Hmmm... as my tripod is not that stable, it shakes for quite a while with the slightest touch. So I'm considering to get some anti-vibration pads,

do you guys think this will really work?

Hi,
It'll works on solid ground, such as concrete ground, but I think your scope may be a little too light to work effectively.

Have a nice day.

I've used one of those wooden tripods before and they are generally quite stable. Can you identify the source of the instability? If it's the tripod head that is causing the problem, I'm not sure how much anti-vibration pads help.

Yup... Most prob is the head causing the whole thing to shake...
