Partial Lunar Mosaic (pre-project)

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

Partial Lunar Mosaic (pre-project)

Post by rcj »

Hi all,
Have uploaded (album section) a partial lunar mosaic of the moon taken yesterday. This is the first attempt of the moon using the toucam pro II 840K instead of the usual digital camera attempts previously. Also, this three-frame mosaic contains of 900-stack sub frames, resulting in a much smoother image. All frames were taken through mediocre weather conditions (haze and passing clouds), and was surprised it turned out reasonably through the three inch refractor (plus 2x barlow). Will try a complete version soon when the weather and time permits.
