Hi,
Is it possible to mount a photo head like the Manfrotto 410 on a standard "astro tripod" that I use with my EQ mount?
I think my current grab+go setup for my 80mm can be improved for use with a larger scope(C8) if I strengthen the tripod.(Any opinions on this?) =) Is there a standard type adapter for sale or do I need which to fabricate one? (Which I probably won't for this application)
Thanks for reading!

Hi,
I don't recommend you to use your Manfrotto 410 on your C8... you'll "kill" your Manfrotto 410... especially if you start putting 2 inch eyepiece on it.
May be you can try this: Set your altitude of your SkyView Pro to 90 degree. This will convert your SkyView Pro EQ mount to an Alt-Az mount... you'll also get the slow motion control.
Have a nice day.
