Hi folks:
Just when you think the sky screwed... Caught a slow meteor transversing a rather bad LM sky... moments later i bagged my 2nd late nite tumbling ( non operational ) satelite by accident. More fun ID it than the visual it provided

quick - 2005 is coming to an end.. what have you seen?
Hi :
Dont be too hard on yourself! This is simply by chance that this 'fellow' crossed the FOV... a tiny ccd window 12x10 degree in the big 'cloudy' sky..
FYI Meteors in early AM will be swift as they hit heads on with earth while in the evening they have to catch up with earth.. The observed velocity is a sum of earth's velocity and meteor entry velocity ..
Of course if there is no atmosphere - we will have no inflight meteor glow.. with the exception of impact kinetic engery turned to visible light - like in lunar meteor hit
