Messier Marathon 2006

Post by Jin Peng »

Hi everyone, remember the post previously i ask "which night in 2006 has the shortest day time?". It was to find out when on 2006 I can be able to see all messier objects, sorry for causing some misunderstanding in my previous post. Here are the details...

REPUBLIC POLYTECHNIC, BASKETBALL COURT
APRIL 1 - 2
5pm - 8am

As this is the first time We’ve coordinating a Messier Marathon, so any ideas or interested participant do let me know and even can volunteer to help us! This event I intend to open to all insitution and secondary schools with astronomy clubs and intend to invite other schools to join the fun as well! I hope we can bag some good stories.

This is supposed to be a night of fun! If all we bag are good stories then it is a success (a dim fuzzy or two would not hurt). Perhaps the dimmest fuzzy seen thru clouds. Lets just have some fun!

Looking for sponser for the event as well, hehe....

Hope this will benefit the society and create more awareness to the public as well =)
