haha cc..the 8" LX90 is a cool S$3,200 without UHC and shipping!
For that price, probably cheaper to get a second hand LX200GPS instead!
Or maybe the mechanically more matured Nexstar8GPS!
I wonder what are the key differentiation between the LX200GPS and the LX90. Could be simply the exact same LX90 but with GPS drive option added to the gears.

In anycase, I am patient. Will wait for Vin Snr to buy it, test it and then sell to me for S$2000!! I'll pass on the savings by selling my Nexstar 8 for $1500! hahahhhaah

btw, observed that Meade has been busy upgrading their product line with all these cool new but $$$$ products. the only thing that has yet to be upgraded is the autostar control. it could do with a bigger screen that can display more words and lesser scrolling, usb support where tours are copied into it as if it is a thumbdrive...that would be something but I guess the LX200's wireless control is a start...

Not anytime soon my fren. I have a very good Nexstar 5i with me (the GOTO is so good, I am amazed), an 11" f/5 Astrosky on order and a used 5" Burgess 1278 refractor arriving soon. My plate is full.....no intention to spend 10K in this hobby.....

If wish Meade pays more attention to Quality Control instead of rushing out with a swarm of new products. The new Lightbrigde dobs seem to have a very high occurance of poor packing resulting in damage to the mirror and OTA. All of the four Meade 5k UWAs I have had the opportunity of using had QC issues and had to be sent back for replacement. TWO of the replacements were defective too!!

One has a big chunk of cloth fibre on one of the inner lens surfaces; I was able to remove it after disassembling the ep.

Another had a 1cm long scratch on one of the inside lens. A 24mm UWA had lenes which are not secured properly; I can hear them rattling inside when handling the ep. All others had defective (uneven and/or foggy) multi-coating.

I would only buy one of these eps if the seller has a good return policy. FWIW, when u do get a good pc, they perform extremely well.

that's why I am trying to sell off my N8 and C5 to upgrade to the N8SE...
so far no takers for the N8 yet and with each passing day, the urge to buy the 8" gps gets lesser and lesser :-)
