CGE Mount

Post by Tachyon »

Does anyone in SG use a CGE mount? Is it even usable in our latitude?

Looking for some comments...

Cheers!

Hi,
From celestron website:
Latitude range: 10º to 60º northern or southern hemispheres

Have a nice day.

need modification using the wedge concept. if need help in the design, let me know. the CGE mounts are comparative to the Losmandy versions with cheaper GOTO than the Gemini equivalents.

Haha...I was about to tell them to PM you and ask you about the wedge concept like what you did to your mount.

Wedge? Wouldn't that increase the dampening time? Have pics to show? :)

Cheers!
