Return of jan meteors

Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

Return of jan meteors

Post by ykchia »

Hi folks:

Happy Chinse New Year to all.
Just posted x2 composite plots of the Jan 29/30 and 30/31 meteors seen in my simple blog below

Nothing big seen but gave you an idea the spatial distributions of meteors registered in the mid-night to dawn video patrol from a rather small FOV 25mm video lens. Fits frames were stacked in IRIS using add_max2 function

Hi jeremy:

Thanks... just drilled more holes and added two fans to cool down this particular overdrive 3.4 Ghz pc for the video stuff.

Sky was good feb01 1am onwards and at dawn the familar Crux was outside my window to the right I caught a glimpse of majestic Scorpion standing upright!

Hope the weather holds for more days....
